The book describes a simple and well-tried method for learning superimposed rhythms like quintuplets, septuplets, etc. The method works regardless of time signature. I have focused on the most applicable rhythms, with regard to prevalent tempos and different instrument categories. These rhythms are more than enough to drastically expand most people’s rhythmic vocabulary.
Since the central purpose of the book is to facilitate the learning of the rhythms, I have focused on effective exercises that lead to an understanding of the rhythms as quickly as possible. The exercises are not targeted at any specific instrument.
